From Wayne’s Tire to Idaho!

Wayne’s Tire was a chain of tire and automotive repair stores on the Central Coast of California started by Wayne Hesselbarth in 1959 on 125 W Main Street in Santa Maria, California.  After taking on partners, the business expanded to include a second location in Santa Maria, and locations in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Lompoc, Arroyo Grande, and Santa Barbara.  In 1998, Russell Miller purchased co-ownership in the company, then in 2012 purchased the remaining shares running it until 2016 when American Tire Depot purchased the business.  Russell worked for ATD as a consultant following the purchase.  Free to explore the United States and consider other options, after a visit to Idaho, Russell and his family relocated to Eagle, Idaho opening Russell Miller Properties.
