Meridian

What Makes the City of Meridian So Popular?

Meridian, the second largest city in Ada County, has a population of 115K people living in its 34 square miles and is growing at approximately 4% annually.  This family-friendly area boasts of award-winning schools, affordability, and convenient shopping.  Adjacent to the 84 Freeway, Boise town center is less than 15 minutes, Boise Costco is a 10-minute jaunt, and the Meridian Costco is schedule for completion Spring 2021.  Trader Joe’s, and the popular Boise Co-op for farm fresh local produce and baked goods is centrally located.  Four-bedroom homes are common and often adjacent to community pools and parks.  Meridian Village provides entertainment, food, and trendy shopping.

Meridian Village

Southern California has Newport Fashion Island.  Tahoe has NorthStar Village, Santa Barbara has Paso Nuevo outdoor mall, and Southwest Idaho has Meridian Village with upbeat music, seasonal shows, outdoor eating and shopping making this a fun destination for the family or just an evening out.  Popular anchor stores such as Columbia, Carhart (this is Idaho, you know), Victoria’s Secret, and H & M surround a trendy eating pavilion adjacent to a water feature reminiscent of the old Anaheim Disneyland Hotel water show I loved as a kid.  The landscaping is stunning, and while the winter brings an end to the well-known lush hanging flower gardens, white twinkle lights, ice skating and oversized gas fire pits fill the pavilion with wonder.  Keep track of the Village calendar as local shows and events abound.  If you need to pass some time, while someone in the family found the shopping a bit too enticing, head over to Big Al’s Bowling Alley, the movie theatre, or behind the Village to the 50-acre Julius M Kleiner Memorial park for some family fun.
